Robert Crow

Crow, Robert Trammell Died in Dallas, Texas on April 16, 2011. Robert was born in New Orleans, Louisiana on November 2, 1943, the first child of Dallas real estate developer Trammell Crow and his wife Margaret. Robert graduated from Highland Park High School in 1962. He attended Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas, where he was involved in various campus activities. Robert worked for a number of years in his father's real estate business. After spending time with the Crow, Pope and Land unit in Atlanta, he moved to California to open the Trammell Crow Company operation there. Notably during this time, Robert was involved in the development of over 26 million square feet of warehouses and distribution centers, including the redevelopment of the Chrysler property in Los Angeles. Robert is survived by his mother, Margaret Doggett Crow; two sons and their spouses, Carter Trammell and Julie Crow, and Robert Wade and Sara Crow; three grandchildren, Carter Harrison Crow, Trammell Collin Crow and Duncan Wade Crow; his siblings and their spouses, Howard D. Crow, Harlan R. and Katherine Crow, Trammell S. Crow, Stuart M. and Shirley Crow, and Lucy C. and Henry Billingsley; and many loved nieces and nephews, and his Aunt Virginia Long. Robert was married twice; to Nancy Carter Crow and Emila Crow, respectively. A memorial service will be held on April 21, 2011 at 4:00 p.m. at Cox Chapel, Highland Park United Methodist Church, Dallas, Texas. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Margaret and Trammell Crow Chair for Alzheimer's and Geriatric Research at Southwestern Medical Foundation, 3963 Maple Ave., #100, Dallas, Texas 75219.
